Initially I thought that implementing the recent review will be a piece of cake. However, as I started, one thing led to another, and the review implementation became a huge project. Parts of the manuscript were completely reformulated, chapters were split and moved around. However, all this is completed now, and I feel that the manuscript vastly improved. In fact, I am very satisfied with it.
I still iterate over the manuscript, looking for any mistakes and paragraphs that need improvement. However, now I am able to complete a whole iteration in a single working day. When the iteration time shrinks to an hour, I will know that the iterations end is near.
I did not choose a publisher yet. The publishing world has undergone a revolution since I published my previous book 25 years ago (should this be a surprise?). Now there are much more options, the cost went down, and the royalties up. And the author can be involved in the publication process to any degree, if he chooses to do so. As a DIY person, this fascinates me.
So, here I am. Probably in two weeks the manuscript will b e submitted to editing.
